Fenix 7 freezes on check for updates

Mine is fine.

I saw the same reported several times already. 

 you could try to re-install the current software:

• Go to your System > About menu
• press the top left Light Button 8 times
• Go to the very bottom
• select the option to reinstall the software

I have the same problem. I've reinstalled the software as advised and it still crashes when checking for update.
This is a pain as the watch has started crashing randomly - and I suspect it's when it does its update check :(

Hi. I tried all the previous steps as well and none of those worked either.  I just hooked it up to the charger in my house so was also on the wifi, and then did the check for updates so it would freeze.  I left it like that and maybe an hour later it rebooted on it's own.  I removed from charger and tried the check for updates and it no longer freezes.  Thinking it had to go through some sort of update but that seemed to now fix the issue.

Same problem for me, nothing works. Garmin, please fix this. 

I can confirm the same problem, checking for an update immedaitely causes it to freeze and has to be hard restarted
