Garmin fenix 7x freezes after activity saved

I am sorry to hear you are having this issue. For this, I have some initial troubleshooting steps, I would recommend trying. 

• First I would recommend trying a hard reset. For this, hold the Light button until the watch shuts off, as opposed to selecting power off. Then power this on again.
• If this continues, I would recommend removing the stored files from the watch. This would include Activities, Courses, Workouts, Locations, and Remoted SW. 
  1. Connect the watch to a Windows computer
  2. Open the device drive
  3. Open the Garmin folder
  4. Open the desired folders and delete the contents
  5. Disconnect from the computer
  6. Powercycle the watch again

There has been a known issue impacting WiFi usage. So if you have WiFi enabled on the watch, anytime this is activated (like when saving an activity) the device will freeze. This would also use WiFi when syncing music, checking for updates, using the map manager. 

So if the freezing issue is occurring when WiFi is being used, try disabling the WiFi. If this resolves the concern, this is the likely cause. 

There is a potential solution for this included with the latest 18.09 BETA software version. So you may consider joining the BETA program, and installing this update.
