Smartwatch for Rowing

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I'm really struggling to find a conclusive answer elsewhere.

I'm looking for a smartwatch for rowing that will track stroke rate and speed, will create a GPS map when I'm on the river, and will connect to PM5 on a Concept2 erg. I think the Vivoactive range will probably do this, but I've been told that the Fenix 6x and 7x will as well.

Can anyone help please?

Outdoor Row will capture the stroke rate based on your motion, and speed will be captured along with the map using GPS.
Row Indoors will capture the stroke rate and speed from your motion. This will not pair directly with the Concept 2 rower. But you can broadcast the HR from the watch, so this will display on the row machine.

According to Concept2 you are supposed to be able to connect the PM5 to a Fenix 6. I have not tried myself.

Fenix 6, 7, 7pro can be connected directly to the PM5 (PM5 as trainer sensir) and it will send you the distance, speed, other metrics. Strokes, i think, will be counted by your movement. If you have external heart rate band you can connect it to both devices and see it live. If not, you can broadcast from the watch and see it on the PM5.

Maybe other models will do it also but I have not checked/tried. I've only used my PM5 with F6 and F7

You can also setup a connection from your Garmin Connect account to your Concept2 logbook if you are using that (https://log.concept2.com/). In that way workouts that are logged in your Concept2 logbook will automatically be imported to your connect account. In GCM it is done under Settings.
