Screen comparison: f7Pro vs t7Pro

Bought a fenix 7 Pro Sapphire Solar today, and compared it with my tactix 7 Pro that's been used for almost 2 years.

The contrast on f7Pro seems a lot better than the t7Pro especially when the backlight is on.
The backlight on f7Pro is much brighter than on t7Pro.

In the pic below, the left one is the f7Pro with 5% backlight, while the right one is the t7Pro with 10% backlight. Is it that the display has been upgraded, or my t7Pro is getting old?

Tactix seems better to me in lowlight without aby backlight.

Yes, the pro series has an improved MIPS display.

Okay, just saw that your Tactix is also a Pro. Maybe the improved display is only on the Fenix Pro then.

there are several threads in the forum on the of topic.

There are variations even within a series. Each tactix 7pro will never be exactly the same as another. But that is the case with every series.
The results with the camera will also be slightly different for everyone.

I think tactix 7 Pro came out (nearly) at the same time as fenix 7 (not Pro). tactix 7 OLED is the new one.

Wow interesting, what I saw is the opposite of yours. Is this indicating there's issue with GARMIN's quality control?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the watch on the left doesn't have the solar glass which results in about a 10% loss of transmission. I.E. that watch isn't a Tactix 7 Pro but rather a Tactix 7.

This isn't an issue of quality control or a different MIP display, it's the effect of solar glass on readability.

So, the display on fenix 7 Pro does get an upgrade. I guess the wear on the anti-reflective coating on my old t7Pro is also part of the reason?

It is not possible to make a clear comparison. Even the watches within the same series are different. You will have differences even with 2 tactix 7 pro watches.
