I am a trail runner from China, and I frequently import race routes into my Garmin Fenix7 and Epix watch to utilize the Climb Pro and elevation plot features. These tools are highly effective in regions outside mainland China, such as Hong Kong or France. However, when used within mainland China, although the elevation plot appears perfect on the web interface and the routes align correctly with the map on the watch, the elevation plot is entirely inaccurate on the watch. The issue seems to be that the elevation data has not been adjusted for the coordinate system used in China. In my understanding, it only requires the same processing as the map data. I hope Garmin can identify and resolve this issue.
