I tried different GNSS settings on my Fenix 7 pro, The watch keeps you on the track or the road, even if you go off to run on the grass or dirt that is around 10 to 20 m away.
For example, if you’re running on a loop and you go inside that loop it still shows that you’re on the road and gives you a higher pace.
The other day the road was flooded so I had to go off around 20 m away from the road in parallel, but the watch still kept me back on the road.
It seems there’s an algorithm at play and when it sees there is a disparity with the road coordinates, it autocorrects you back to the road. This keeps the activity trace on the map very clean and crispy, even if it’s not correct.
Has anyone experienced this?
