Where to find detailed maps?

please zoom, details are depending on the zoom level

Hello socorsu. I have zoomed out because otherwise there is just a blank map, virtually no streets or topographic data. Then I click on TopoActive maps, there are no maps like in the pic. And nothing happens if  click on „add map“. It searches through WiFi and nothing, I get again „Add Map“.

Is your WiFi connection working? E.g can you sync via WiFi? Maybe you can get access to a Windows PC somehow to try Garmin Express. Or you return your watch to the seller, because it is not normal that no TopoActive Maps are installed. The Pro models should ship with preinstalled worldwide TopoActive maps. 

Yes, WiFi works , I did even a update to Software 16.22. I will try to find an Windows computer. But it‘s nevertheless disappointing. And it‘s not some unknown seller, but MediaMarkt/Saturn. For those who live in Europe certainly know it. 

Express also runs on MAC

Unfortunately I use only a Linux computer and an IPad. 

Connect your watch to charger and try to add maps again. 
If WiFi works you should be able to see list of maps which you could add. 

I had connected it before on the charger but the problem remained. But I think I solved the problem. The most simple solution, a restart. I have now in the map manager different maps for download. I will try it tomorrow as the download for Europe is 10,5 GB. I hope it will work.

I would run it over night. It takes many hours because the WiFi is super slow on the watch. 

Or bring it back to Mediamarkt tomorrow and ask for a new one, as this is certainly not normal.
