What happens if you click in the Garmin connect app in the settings at "instant keyboard"?

Ok tried turning that on and off but still nothing when trying to respond to a WhatsApp message... Only pre set responses still.

Do you have the option to reply with T9 keyboard? 

I've never seen T9 on the watch, just Multi Tap.

As far as i know only the Venu series offer replies with the keyboard. But maybe Garmin will implement this feature in all newer watches.

Replying to a Text Message

NOTE: This feature is available only for compatible Android phones. 

When you receive a text message notification on your watch, you can send a quick reply by selecting from a list of messages. You can customize messages in the Garmin Connect app.

NOTE: This feature sends text messages using your phone. Regular text message limits and charges from your carrier and phone plan may apply. Contact your mobile carrier for more information about text message charges or limits.

1. From the watch face, press UP or DOWN to view the notifications glance.
2. Press START, and select a text message notification.
3. Press START.
4. Select Reply.
5. Select a message from the list.

   Your phone sends the selected message as an SMS text message.

FYI, running latest Beta 17.xx, with "Garmin Messenger App" we have T9 Keyboard.

I've managed to get the keyboard to popup when creating an activity, do you know if new beta 17.XX let's you use it to reply to messages like venu for example? Cheers all for help

T9 is coming to Fenix 8 Series, we shared the same components, then we can make a wish for Garmin not limiting it to the new models ...
