Topographic Maps North America - Freezing up when downloading from PC

Hi - I have a new Fenix 7S Pro Solar Sapphire. Love it!

I downloaded the topographic Europe map via my Garmin Express on my PC, no prob.

But four times in a row the topographic North America map freezes at 0.5%.

I googled, and found similar problems in Garmin forum posts (1-2 years old), but admins said then that the problem had been resolved.

Is there something else I can do differently?

    These maps take up a lot of space on your system partition (typically the "C" drive on windows). Are you sure you have enough free space?

    I wonder if I'm misunderstanding the process - When I go to Garmin Express, check the box, and click start, I thought I was downloading the topographic match to my watch?

    (EDIT: Yes, I think that's the case - I just checked, and having successfully downloaded the TopoActive Map of Europe in that manner, then checking to see where it wound up, I see it is on my watch, not my PC.)

    But I can't repeat the process for the North America maps ... it just freezes up at 0.5%.

    Has anyone else downloaded the topographic North America map to a Fenix 7S Pro Sapphire recently?

    (I wouldn't think the problem would be that my watch is full because it's brand new without anything I've downloaded to it except the Europe topographic maps. I think I've read that DC Rainmaker has both on his watch simultaneously ...but maybe combined they total more than the 32GB watch capacity, and he did something funky that I don't know about to get both on there.)

    The download goes to your PC hard drive first and is then transferred to your watch. Therefore the process needs some GB of free space on your system partition. 

    But could also be another issue. 

    32 GB should be enough for both maps if you did not store a lot of music on the watch.

    I have 125 GB free on my PC hard drive. 

    Still not sure why I can't get the NA Topographic Maps downloaded to the watch (the European topographic maps downloaded just fine.
