This is not true for me. I've just set an alarm for in two miniutes, disabled HR like you mentioned and I was greeted with bzzt bzzt in the right time. Fenix7X-SS with the same firmwarenumber
Thank you for the reply. I’ve tried a few times and it is definitely this setting for me that is preventing the alarm. I’ve emailed Garmin and they’ve responded to say they’ve had a few reports and are investigating.
Possibly linked.
Order of events for me were something like -
It’s always worked faultlessly so I realised it must have been due to one of the settings I changed. I toggled the hr sensor on/off to test and it would only vibrate with it on.
Well that was this morning, I’ve tested again just now and toggling hr isn’t affecting the vibration alarm! Perhaps there is another factor at play like newly created vs existing alarms, or something else.
forums.garmin.com/.../quote]This is correct. Currently when the OHR is disabled, and the watch is connected to charge, this will prevent the vibration from working.
Updated 2/29/2024:
The issue had been replicated and has been escalated to our engineering team.
If you charge your watch through a Windows PC/Apple Mac or using a wall adapter, and only if your OHR sensor is disabled/off in your Sensors & Accessories > Wrist Heart Rate menu, your vibration feature will not work.
Workaround:
- Restart your watch after each time your watch has been charged.
