Since we all know how useless BMI is for most athletes, can you please allow us to input our own body fat percentage as most metrics relying on outdated BMI are useless.

You can import body fat with a simple CSV file in Garmin Connect Web at https://connect.garmin.com/modern/import-data. You can also use Garmin's Index 2 scale to have it synced to your account automatically.
This is a sample CSV file:
Body Date,Weight,BMI,Fat "2022-11-03","71.6","22.6","14.4"
There can be multiple lines of data, but the first 2 header lines appear just once
Garmin Index 2 scale is super inaccurate for athletes as it tends to measure a significantly higher than actual body fat percentage. Check out Index 2 forum to see how many people complained about that. For me it measured 20-22% BF when in reality it is 13-14%.
I spent enough on a the watch, I’m not buying an overpriced scale, when I have perfectly working one just to be able to add body fat when it should be a function of the watch as BMI is not useful.
it should be a simple fix to add body fat percentage in the Same way you add your weight, and I’m sure the majority don’t have a Garmin scale either.

I use this one to manually enter my metrics directly on watch. Works great.

While it might be simple to add a body fat percentage, not everybody has access to means to measure it. As flawed as BMI might be for the individual it’s easy to calculate from height and weight. BMI is still of some use for the majority. Athletes with high BMI are quite likely to be aware of the limitations and also more aware of the need to focus on body composition.
