topoactive maps of india - unavailable on fenix 7x sapphire solar

any reason why nobody is able to respond to this topic in proper manner? are these maps available or not? if so where. if not - why not and when?

Garmin TopoActive Maps for India are not available on my U.S. version tactix 7, I suspect the same is true for all fenix 7 series U.S. version watches.

I do not know whether the Garmin TopoActive India maps are available for Asia/Pacific version Garmin watches or not.

As to why not and when, you will have to contact Garmin Support directly and ask them.

You may dowload the 3rd-party Indian topoactive map to your watch.

99.99% of the time when a country does not have a digital map available being sold across the internet by the largest companies for their devices, it is due to policies and/or complex reasons for why it is not easily acquired by the public.

However, despite the difficulty finding some country maps in a digital form, there are multiple openstreet type options that exist as customer sourced projects. Most maps can still be added to a device but it takes more time, research, and a little tech know-how to acquire.

for people who buy the watch in india from indian retailer also do not get india maps. support has been tight lipped about it and others are giving suggestions to go for 3rd party

I can recommend Talky Toaster maps: They're not free but they're great.

Simply download the maps as .img file and copy them into the GARMIN folder on your watch. Check if it is activated in the settings of the activity, you want to use.

I opened on watch after downloading, it opens ok nd locates but i didnt try an activity as i travelled to europe just after so will try when i m bk but it seems it works
