Juggling catch count app?

A long shot, but I dream of Garmin watches counting juggling catches (or any repetitive catches). Should be pretty easy as there is a strong repetitive wrist movement. It could easily be part of the the rep detection tools.

I did find this student project demo on Github, but it hasn't been updated in years: github.com/.../CatchCounter

  • Rather a niche requirement that might be best met through a CIQ app.  U might try posting in the Connect IQ developer forum https://forums.garmin.com/developer/connect-iq/f/discussion where someone might better be able to tell u if this is even feasible.

  • I am afraid there is absolutely no chance Garmin would allow spending their expensive and rare resources for developing such a niche feature for a tiny number of concerned people.

As razmichael suggested, this is a typical task for a 3rd party CIQ developer. And yes, theoretically it may be possible, using the data from motion sensors (accelerometer, gyro). However, it is not a trivial task. The development can be quite long and costly, so unless you find a developer who does juggling himself, and has a personal interest in such application, I am afraid it will be difficult to find someone willing to invest his time, except if you are ready to finance the development.
