Audiobook m4b format not working

Hi all,

I'm having issues with playing audiobooks in the m4b format on my Garmin Fenix 7 Solar.
I can play mp3 files, but I would much prefer m4b files as they contain chapters, and thereby I only need to manage 1 file per audiobook and eliminate a file conversion process as well.

Having looked at the support article here, the format should be supported by Garmin: link

Have one of you found a solution to this?
Or have you successfully played an m4b file on the watch?

    I have a similar situation whereby I can only reproduce mp3 files... tried with other audio formats, for music in general, and I don't know what is the issue.

    No it's not DRM protected. I have tried playing the converted files on different other devices, where it worked fine.
    I have also downloaded open files (old books where there is no license), and they also played fine on other devices, but not on the Garmin watch.

    Have you had it work, and have you by any chance downloaded an open file from somewhere online where I also can download it and try it on my watch, to test?

    I used a converter to remove the DRM, the audiobook is 20:06:54 long. The computer can play every second. The watch will display that the book is only 2:17:00 long, and will stop playing at that time if i try to fast forward past it, BUT if I just let it play, it will play past 2:17:00, but any accidental tap or fast forward and it restarts again.

    Garmin doesnt have ANY audiobook apps or compatibility, and its absolutely INFURIATING that I spent $900 on a forerunner 965 that cannot play a f*ing book...

    Im going to try and return this watch, im so annoyed
