Is there a reason you don’t want to use WiFi or Bluetooth and a phone?

After long time, i switched from Forerunner 310XT to this watch :-) I use mainly Linux and Turtle-Sports. I was probably spoiled with my old Forerunner 310XT and the ANT+ Stick under Linux. I'm not a big fan of all this online stuff. I would prefer to have a local software like in past (Polar ProTrainer 5, SportTracks 3, Turtle-Sports, etc.).

You have 2 options to get your activity files on your PC.

get it over LAN
I did forget, the f7 is capable of uploading the activity over wifi (in addition to BT with phone). Even so, you'll still have to perform step 2 above to get your activity file copied to your PC.
