I am now on 15.77 and my Epix 2 has never missed record sleep during night since feature was first released. I have the sleep schedule set between 23-07
Happy for you but honestly I don't care. I'm reporting an issue here not discussing the quality of every update of every watch in town. Also, not the same watch...
Please everybody refrain from useless comments.
If you have the same issue report here, this way it could be tracked and fixed by Garmin.
Just for the record, this is the discussion forum not the bug report forum so I just tried to help out by providing some more information that it worked for me on 15.77 on Epix 2 with sleep schedule set during my sleep hours since you did not mention any of this info in your report
If Watch does not register sleep for you, then of-course do report it as a Bug but in the bug section. However since 15.77 now is an official version you have to report it in the non-beta forum (outdoor) or wait until the next beta version is released and try out that version and then report in beta bug section 16.XX if issue still exist.

FYI Garmin does not track bug reports in the discussion forum. You have to report beta bugs here
https://forums.garmin.com/beta-program/fenix-7-series/public-beta-reports/
However 15.XX is closed since official version now. Have to wait for next beta cycle.
I am sorry you have the issue. Thank you for taking the time to report the issue. Since your watch is running the v15.77 official software vs. Beta software, I have moved your post to the Outdoor Recreation > Wearables > Fenix 7 forum.
Please try the following:
1) Hard Reset your watch.
- Hard reset your watch by holding down your top left button until your watch shuts off then let go of the button.
The hard reset will often be enough to resolve a sleep related issue. If your sleep issue continues, please continue with the next step(s).
2) Remove your watch from both the Connect Mobile APP and from you smartphone's Settings > Bluetooth menu.
- Delete the Connect Mobile APP and download it again through your Google Play Store or Apple APP store.
3) Reset your watch to defaults.
Set your sleep schedule correctly and maintain a consistent bed time.
This works for me and it'll probably work for you as well.
I know is a discussion and not a bug report, and I was hoping another user had the same issue and found a solution that wan't the usual BS "do a reset"...which from a 800+ euros watch I'm definitely not expecting (never had issues like these with a 300 euros Samsung watch...and I'm kinda starting to regret having left...).
Regarding the Epix, you are right, I was (don't ask me why) convinced that the watch model and version was mentioned as an attachment to the post. My bad.
Still, if somebody is posting/requesting info/help about an issue reporting that yours works sounds not only rude, but also kinda unuseful. That's why I replied the way I did.
I'll think about reporting the bug...which technically I did since I recall that I went to the website and pressed on the button "Report a bug"...but nvm, I'll do it from the link.
Thx anyway.
Embedded in my last reply
NO!
It's abysmal in the first place that I have to set a sleeping schedule and that the watch is not able to track sleep without it autonomously!
Absurd.
With my 4+ years old, 300 euros Samsung every sleep was consistently tracked, nap or night indifferently!
I hardly had issues with the sleep tracking.
HARDLY!
With a 800+ euros "sport smartwatch" not only I have to set a sleeping schedule (to which I can't be consistent to)...which is absurd...but even with that set it is not working correctly (fyi never worked consistently)!!
And this issue (check the related) is over a year old!
This is bad....utterly bad...
If I have to REALLY do this (which is absurd for a 800+ euros stupidWatch I going back to Samsung (which works). Find a better solution!!!!!
Absurd that in 2024 there are still the "Reset" responses!!!
