Fenix 7 unable to track pace/distance while using Manual Treadmill (AssaultRunner Elite)

My Fenix 7 tracks standard treadmill workouts in the gym without any issues but fails to detect any pace or distance while i am on a manual treadmill. I tried slowing down, picking up the pace or even walking. I even tried virtual run and treadmill application, no luck. Is there anything I need to do to get it working? Or can I just send the data from the treadmill directly to my Garmin Connect so that I do not have to be dependent on my watch (as it doesnt work).

  • LAst option is possible but trough Zwift.
Regarding rest, if your watch have no problem to track your workouts on gym treadmill then should do the same on manual treadmill using same activity.
I'm not sure but probably there is no option to pair your treadmill with your watch (I have AssaultBike Pro and only what is possible to heart rate transmitting to bike computer), so virtual run is not an option.

  • Manual treadmill is hard to track. Even Stryd will struggle to track curved treadmills. This is because of the different movement of your body/feet. Your body will not move up/down as much as on a standard treadmill and the impact of your steps is not as hard. But this is all needed for the watch to calculate your speed/distance/pace.

Maybe a NPE Runn will help you to track your speed.
