Have ported full Peloton cycling workouts to Garmin Connect but these do not appear in History on Fenix even after full sync

Trying to include Peloton information in Garmin history on Fenix for body battery, fitness estimates etc. Have ported .tcx files from Peloton to the Garmin Connect without trouble and flawless charts of cadence, power, speed etc, but these do not get included to History on the watch even after sync with Garmin Connect. Is there any solution? I would like these activities to be part of what Garmin sees in calculation VO2m FTP and other stats.

  • It will only do this for Zwift workouts that are directly synced from Zwift to Connect, as far as I know. The calculation is done on the watch itself.
would be better to record the workout directly with the watch.
Imported files will not be processed for trainingload, VO2max and similar metrics.

  • Too bad because unless I miss one thing the stats from the Peloton bike will not port to the watch, so the only thing I would get on the watch are time and heart rate. Not sure why the imported tax file wouldn’t be treated like any Garmin format workout.

  • Even if you would import a Garmin file it will not taken into account for your metrics. It needs to be recorded on a Garmin device. The device will calculate the metrics and transfer them to the Garmin server.
The only exception, as far as I know, is Zwift as written above.

You can buy and mount a powermeter to your peloton bike. So your watch will know power/cadence and will also give you VO2max and other metrics.

  • Here is a plea -- Garmin, are you listening. Christmas wish from probably thousands of loyal Garmin / Peloton users. Please, all we want for Christmas is to integrate the hard work we do on the Peloton into Garmin. Yes it goes right to Strava no problem and yes we can laboriously download the .tcx file from Strava to Garmin using a nifty translator, but then it falls into the void. Garmin will not use the metrics to calculate training levels, FTP, VO2Max, Body Battery etc. For those of us in the colder climes where much of our winter training is indoors and on the Peloton bike, it's a huge bummer. Shouldn't be so hard to do! If Strava can handshake with Peloton surely Garmin can. Please Garmin athlete's Santa, How about bringing this lovely bit of software toy down the chimney this Christmas?!!!!
