Button stopped working without apparent reason

I read some reports about people getting stuck or unresponsive buttons after doing e.g. water sports.
But in my case (Fenix 7S, ca. 1 year old) the down button stopped working for no apparent reason. It seems to be perfectly fine mechanically and I didn’t do anything recently which would attract moisture or dirt. Still, I already followed cleaning instructions (and restarted the watch) - no effect.

I assume it’s a warranty thing - unless somebody thinks this could be a software issue?

IMO - Contact support for warranty if still applicable. If this was software you would be seeing other reports (and highly unlikely anyway).

Request replacement. It is hardware problem that other users also experienced.

Hi all! Thanks for your suggestions. I already tried various cleaning/soaking methods but it seems my button is actually broken. It's not stuck, it's not dirty, it just doesn't work at all. Fun fact: When on a "set number" screen (like setting alarm or timer), the button behaves as if permanently pressed (so the numbers scroll endlessly). This is the only life sign, otherwise it's dead.

I will ask Garmin for a replacement, there is no other solution it seems.
