Garmin Fenix 7 Sleep tracking Stopped Working After Latest Update 14.68

Hi,

As the header says, sleep tracking is not working after the update. It was working fine before the update. This is my second Fenix 7 in the space of a week. I brought back the first one for the same issue. The same thing worked fine until, not knowing at that time, the actual update killed it.

I'd like to know if there is anyone in the same boat as me and if there is a fix for this before I return it again and move on to something else. Paying out €600+ for something that screws up after an update is not really a good start.

Two in the space of a week would suggest there might be something happening during the setup of the watch. AFAIK there are no posts suggesting the update to 14.68 is killing watches. Is Battery Saver turned…

Is Battery Saver turned on during sleep? If so have the Battery Saver settings been edited to ensure WHR remains on? If WHR is turned off and Battery Saver is activated during sleep, then sleep will not be recorded. WHR is needed for that to happen.

Hi,

do you have pulseOx activated?

I Had an issued yesterday night. After turning of and restarting everything was fine again (everything related to the HR based metrics).

Not sure, if this is reproducable. I don't have the time to test a feature that I do not use anyway.

Hi thanks for the reply I have coverd all of this with the first watch and second I did my research before I posted to make sure it wasn't just a simple setting that I was missing .

I have power saver disabled not in use at all HRS is enabled pulseOX is set to activate in sleep mode and I also tried all the time and a schedule set from Mon to Sun sleep mode is tracking anything all it say is no data no matter what I do.

This is definitely got to do with the update as I have watched it happen in real time with the second watch like I said it was working fine before the update on both watches then nothing after the update.

And nothing for nothing but you shouldn't have to jump through hoops to get a simple function working it's supposed to be user friendly.

I asked, beacause I had no problems with the sleep tracking + other HR-related metrics until I activated the pulseOx for one night ( I normally do not use PulseOx, since the values are ballpark figures anyways).

After switching off everything worked again.

I have the same problem. Everything was fine before the last update (15.71).

I sent an email to support two days ago got no reply and the online chat doesn't work so I gave up this 7 is going back to the store also.

I think that this is just software related problem.I will try to downgrade to last working firmware (14.68)

15.71 is an beta version.

I think PCB is referring to an regular release - an so do I with my similar post regarding pukseOx.
