No more preferred Strava Live segments shown while running

Hi, I recently changed from Fenix 6xpro to 7xpro sapphire solar.

I can't see any "strava segments" app available in Garmin store, as I had on my previous watch.

That was so useful, telling me when I was approaching to one of my favourite segments, and showing if I was in time or less to break my previous record.

Any advice about what happened?

I am a member. I correctly saved my favourite segments, and Garmin shows them.

It worked on my previous watch, not in this one.

Segments are built-in - there is nothing to download. Make sure you have Strava segments (not Garmin segments) are chosen in Garmin connect. But that should be the case since you used segments before. Also…

It may be Strava that needs to handle that - no Fenix 7, indeed:

As long as you are a subscribed Strava member and you've "starred" you favorite segments and linked your Garmin account (segments) to Strava, the segments will automatically be sync'd to your watch. The segment information will pop up on the Live Segment screen of your watch as you approach and run/ride through the segment.

Sure. But this worked properly on Fenix 6, and not in my new Fenix 7. The newest seems not supported as stated in the link above on Strava support. Really I have no idea why and/or if it will be fixed

My f7X Pro works as expected. I didn't have to touch anything on the watch side. Might be worth connect to Garmin Express to make sure the segments get sync'd to the watch.

I use Strava Live segments on my Fenix 7X all the time. It works the same way it worked with Fenix 6X, even more reliably.

That Strava article linked above is incorrect.

I also owned a 6X, 7X, and now a 7X Pro. Neither of those watches required anything special on the watch side. I did not load any CIQ apps.

Segments are built-in - there is nothing to download. Make sure you have Strava segments (not Garmin segments) are chosen in Garmin connect. But that should be the case since you used segments before. Also make sure segment alerts are enabled. These are enabled per activity type and need to be set either on the watch or in watch settings part of Garmin Connect (Garmin Connect Mobile can now modify many watch settings directly in the app, which want possible with Fenix 6).

Also, if you connect your watch to a computer you should be able to see if you have those segments on the watch or not. Each segment appears as a separate FIT file.
