Wrist/nerve pain

After wearing my Garmin Fenix 7 for a few months I started getting this crazy pain inside my left wrist by the nerve.

I went to the doctor and received a steroid shot and the pain went away for about six weeks.

Recently it started up again, much more severe. All the while I was wearing my Fenix 7. I thought in a crazy way that it could be because of the watch.

I stopped wearing the watch for a few days and it went away. Has anybody else experienced this craziness?

  • Moved to fenix 7 forum (was vivosport).

  • Change to the right wrist and see if the pain moves.

Never had or heard about the issue btw. Could it be the strap is too tight?

  • Yep, I tried that and unfortunately I had the beginnings of same sharpness when I moved the thumb. I took it off and it sadly sits on my bureau - I loved the watch.
I never wore it tighter than to keep it in place on the top of the wrist and to otherwise prevent it from turning around - I don’t like any watch to fit tightly.
I never really used the VOX or pulse so maybe I’ll just figure out a way to shut those off!

  • Here's something you can try. REVERSE the strap on the watch so the buckle is on the other moves from the radius to ulnar size of the wrist. The photo shows what it looks like after you reverse the straps, I wear my watch on my right wrist. The watch straps are installed from the factory so that the buckle tends to rest right against on the median nerve and the flexor carpi radialis (I'm not a doctor, but I think got that right). This eventually gives me pain in the location you describe but this little hack fixed it for me.
