tactix 7 amoled woefull storage

I just upgraded (I thought) my tactix 7 pro to the tactix 7 amoled and I have to say I'm slightly underwhelmed

My Tactix pro 7 has nearly 23gb of storage out of the 32gb its equipped with

yet

My Tactix 7 amoled only has 15.8 gb showing, I cant delete the golf maps (even though I dont have a use for them) and apart from Europe topomaps all the others are gone to maximise my space for music etc

I'm wondering if I should just return it whilst I still can ,the battery life is poor , I didn't realise it didn't have solar (no-ones fault but mine) and this is kind of the cherry on top

anyone got any tips to get rid of more stuff to make space , id like to keep it but in all honesty the thing isn't living up to its bigger older sibling.

The idea of forcing golf and ski maps on everyone regardless of how we use the watches is truly baffling.

You're seeing poor battery life? I'm averaging 10 days on a full charge per my battery widget, albeit with limited GPS and music streaming lately.

doesn't it have the same memory as the non-amoled? i don't recall seeing anyone ever complaining about storage on this series. may i ask what you're doing with it?

I did just this im now up to 26gb

We arent allowed mobile phones on site so i use my watch for music and podcasts and learning languages etc i should probably cit down the music library or quality rather than blame the device , poor quality managment but it fitted on my other with 6-7 gig to spare

Its the first time anyone else had too at garmin support he simply gave me the names of the non useful maps ( to me) i backed them up in a nice safe place and deleted them

Maybe golfers are the target market , i just saw the new carbon fibre watch and the tactix will probably be retired to the bicycle

keep in mind the AMOLED has the Gen5 HR sensor upgrade as well, so you'd be giving that up if you went back to the original Tactix 7.
