Fenix 7 randomly crashing after 14.68

After I've installed 14.68 I've had my Fenix 7 Sapphire Solar crash/restart multiple teams per day in watch mode. I wasn't doing anything. During this time, it lost a few hours of 24/7 tracking data such as heart rate and body battery.

I've already tried rebooting and soft-resetting the watch as well as doing a hard reset and a backup restore.

Is anyone aware of any issues or does anyone know how I can solve this?

this is completely rubbish... what is the point of having upgrade that breaks primary functionality

Same problem here, Fenix 7 crashing/restarting every now and then without any reason after upgrading to 14.68

Garmin - Chris I'd say more than 10-20 watches are facing this issue. It's time for you guys…

I managed to fix the problem by doing a hard reset... I would like to know why this had happened. Any information on getting the logs would be helpful.

Steps taken to perform hard reset

I saw many reports on FaceBook french community group with this new public version during the W.E.

Restart/crash by itself during activity.

Is this the first time you have suffered this problem with your watch or have you already had it with some other firmware versions?

For me this is the first time since the firmware update in general after previous updates there were no problems with the watch.

I haven't had any other crashes before this firmware. I also haven't noticed any crashes during activities, but haven't done that many activities yet.

Is there any way to restore to the previous firmware (14.36 if I'm not mistaken)? Preferably while being able to also restore the current backup so I don't lose my settings.

It seems I'm unable to open an issue in the Public Beta forum, I'm not sure why.

My watch just randomly crashed/restarted again. I uploaded the RAM.txt, err_log.txt and err_log.bak to Garmin's upload section for bugs

I also can't find any backdate/restore files to backdate to 14.36.

I've also sent an email to Garmin in my region this weekend, but I haven't gotten any response back.

Because it’s public release not beta now. Contact Garmin Support through the normal channels.
