Hike activity and restarting every 20 minutes

Good morning everyone. Garmin fenix 7x updated to 14.36.
Yesterday I used the hike activity. After about two hours, the watch started restarting every 20 minutes. Has this happened to anyone after the latest updates? I'm using the watch without custom widgets. I had only uploaded a map to follow. But even without the map it still restarted.

There is a known issue with Fenix watches (including 6 and 7) where it will reboot during activity

Do a search on: fenix 7 (or 6) reboot (or crash) during activity

It's been an issue for a few years now, and afaik no one really knows why or when will be fixed. Some say it's a hardware issue others software

It happens to some Fenixes and not others maybe, but not sure tbh

One of the reasons returned my 6 pro (besides screen pixel issues) for warranty and hesistant getting a 7 as replacement

You might want to consider returning it for warranty while you still have

I am sorry you have the issue. What SportyGirl stated is correct. The restart issue itself when during an activity is rare when factoring how many millions of Fenix 6/Fenix 7/Fenix 7 Pro series watches are being used worldwide. However, when your watch develops the issue, whether during an activity or in general like your watch behavior now, it might not always resolve and will result in needing to warranty replace your watch.
