Does the Tactix 7 AMOLED belong here or in the Epix forum?

Just seen the Tactix & Epix lovechild - Tactic 7 AMOLED:

It's the new top of the range Tactix and even includes the AB Software, but comes in at a hefty AUD $2.5k. But it does have some whizz bang cool features, which may appear in the Fenix 8...?

I am sitting in the dark staring at my Fenix 2 with backlight on and pretend it is a Tactix 7 in redshift mode.

hi, seriously? A Tactical/military with AMOLED screen?

Does it have special amoled screen which does not blow on night?

I mean even with red shift, the amoled blows that mean can be seen from far with NVG.

or it is for Chair Force?

it looks very nice but if it is not a special amoled, this is not Tactical at all...

Does anyone have clue?

Hope not. I don't like AMOLED and don't want one. Just improve the MIP contrast and ditch the silly Solar.

Good question. Yes. A very low light all green mode along with the red shift too but the all green mode really tunes it down and you have a System > Display menu where you can have your display just stay off unless you either press a button or choose to use the automated wrist gesture feature to light it up until it times out again.

It seems clear that Garmin is now (and will continue) offering a choice of MIP or AMOLED for most of their Fenix-based product lines.
