This is not very clear. Describe “froze” and “has no power”. Provide Watch model and software version. A sync, depending on settings, will update IQ apps but, outside of dealing with main software uploads, it does not automatically install software each time. Try pushing and holding the light button about 20 seconds or so that might force a restart (top left button).
Let me ‘splain. When a TV screen freezes, it’s like a freeze frame, same with the watch. Having no power means the battery is not sending energy to the device, I. E. You computer does not start, no power.

I had done what you suggested, thank you..still no go. I chatted with Garmin earlier, (and tried more button resets, as directed by Garmin) and was directed to return the device, which I did.

that’s for the splain. Confused as you said watch was frozen (so something frozen on the screen like your tv comparison) but no power so something like your computer does not start start comparison. Anyway, glad Support has stepped in.
