I've just added a 4iiii precision 3, left-sided crank power meter (cycling) to my bike and Fenix 7X pro. It's not obvious to me if I need to set it as a single-sided power meter anywhere (app or watch).
Without a power meter, Garmin will estimate calorie consumption based on weight/age/heartrate, etc. but with a power meter, it can measure it... My measured values are about half that of the previous estimates (for an identical ride). Either the estimates were WAY off, or one possibility is that it's only using the single-sided power meter and not assuming equal power on both cranks...
Does anyone have any ideas?
