Quickfit strap won't open

Tried to remove my quickfit strap yesterday, impossible to remove one of the two. After pressing much harder on the button, I finally got it off. But I can't put it back on, as one of the sides is not pushing in enough. I suspect some dust / dirt got inside the mechanism. Is there any way to clean this ? I see two screws on the connector, I could try to disassemble it, but I don't think it will be enough to fix this issue. Any idea ? Thanks :)

Never had to think about cleaning a quick fit strap. I think people have mentioned taking them apart in the past for whatever reason so might be worth a try.

If it’s a Garmin one perhaps see if they’ll replace it. I can honestly say that I’ve never had an issue with any of my Garmin quick fit straps.

I would not take the risk. If you don’t get it right, when you put it back together, it could fall apart at random and you could lose the watch.

If you decide to give give it a try anyway, fix the screws with Loctite threadlocker when you put it back together.

I have never had any issues with the quality.
