Please don't tell me to turn it off, reboot the watch, even the kid knows it's due to a software update.

what should Garmin’s approach to software updates be?
I would suggest that they start with this:
1. If developer cannot solve significant issues in beta stage, software should not be relesed…
Software version 14.36 has been released to fix the fast battery drain issue.
Right!
That is why I skip updates until stable version comes along. I am still on v11.28, and who knows when stable update will come.
Garmin is obviously releasing half-baked software versions to public…
I had to return 13.22 this morning. Fenix 7 cannot be turned into an apple watch
Tried all methods available. Had to revert back to v13.22. Problem solved! Garmin sucks at firmware updates.

I agree wholeheartedly
v13.22 had the backlight bug (backlight turns on at gps acquisition and heart rate glance overriding system backlight setting). v14.31 fixed that bug but introducing a more serious one. I reckon v11.28 is the most stable one so far, but lacks of 7-day sleep and HRV status...

Unfortunately Garmin managed to do that with bad software. Price is up there with apple products and now even the battery is same as apple watch

Since the problems are not systemic, ie they do not affect everyone what should Garmin’s approach to software updates be? And let’s be clear, Garmin is not alone in having issues with software updates for some users, even those much lauded paragons of virtue Apple do not escape update issues. It’s not easy when virtually every Garmin user is a case study of one in how the watches are used and what is added to them.
Nobody would dispute there are issues but there is no easy solution other than dealing with the issues as they arise.
It's not an easy job and bugs are par for the course. I'm thankful that we have an avenue to roll back software. At least that gives users time to continue without interruption.
How do I go back to v13.22? Please let me know. I want to badly revert back. My fenix 7 sapphire solar has drained to 26% in 24 hours from 100%.
