Day before yesterday i got an update 14.31 and after updating my Fenix 7 pro Sapphire solar, its battery is draining like crazy. it 40% down in 12 hours time.
Generally its battery run upto 15 days but in this way it will only work for 2 days.

So, the best solution is the following: Reboot your watch (do a power cycle), recharge your battery to 100%, and give it a time. The last point is very important, you won't see the effect immediately,…
Long press of the light button activates incident detection on my Fenix 7 SS.
Press the button longer until it turns off
Same here. GARMIN, WE DO NOT WANT TO WAIT UNTIL NEXT QUARTER TO GET THIS FIXED!!!!!
Nothing new, unfortunately. Posts keep popping up about this for a long time now, after every software update.
can we downgrade this software to previous software, which was working fine
Don't panic! Reboot your watch and everything will be just fine (exactly nothing new, there is an obvious and well known solution, but still many of you don't get it).
Can more people confirm if this works?
I'm currently deliberating if I should install this update because of the overwhelming number of reports about this problem (about 6 threads on the forum homepage are due to a battery train issues with 14.31).
I have always done a soft reset (long press light button) after an update.
Neither on the old Fenix 6 nor on the Fenix 7 so far had problems with the battery.
i did reboot the watch but the nothing happened, same situation. I think better solution will be downgrade to the previous software
Rebooting sometimes helps but most often does not, as shown many times by users that had same problem after update to previous software versions.
Yes, Garmin offers that option. Did not use it though, so please search on this forum or on Garmin site. Someone mentioned that instruction to software downgrade is also given on beta forum.
So, how the downgrade is going to help you, if the same problem was for the previous software version too?
...this is so predictable, every time the new FW is released, there are the complaints about battery drain (it's really only a few if you compare it to the real user base who are O.K. with the upgrade). And still, the previous software was fine - so, where is the logic then? It looks like always the latest FW release is a battery eater, until the next one is issued and history is repeated. ;)
