Fenix 7 Pro SS - Not usable in the water. Display is tilted.

Hello All,

I want to share and ask if you have the same very nasty behavior of the F7 in the water. Every time I use my watch in the open water or swimming pool but without any activity. Just simply wear it as a watch.

First.

After a while screen freeze and tilted/shifted. It looks like watch thinks that I want to scroll but hangs in 25% or 50%. I think this is linked to touch screen but even if I turn this feature off again the same symptom arise. Never had this kind of things in Venu2 or Instinct.

Second annoying feature is living on their own in the water. Even if you think that you lock the screen or touch feature, after some time swimming (without workout) I see for example random app open.

C'mon this watch has a US certification but in the water it lives their own life.

Have you disabled the touchscreen globally or in you swim settings. If first, have a look in your workout settings if its not overriding your global settings. Everything you are complaining about is looking like your touch is not disabled.

Thank you for your swift reaction.

As I said I was not using in a swim mode/activity. Only as a watch.

But Yes I disabled globally.

Are you on software 13.22? Did you already soft reset your watch (hold upper left until it restarts)?

Hello there.

Just to chip in - I have never seen this issue. I have used my F7X in the water a lot.

I always disable the touch screen before I go in the water though.

Noticed this as well with my 7s SS. Touch screen is disabled. I was fighting with a touchscreen snorkeling pouch to take underwater photos, and the watch acted up on top. But a press on the button was sufficient. Also didn't record any activity.
