Maps cannot unlock message on Garmin Fenix 7

Fenix 7X pro had the same issue : Cannot unlock maps.
- tried reinstall topo europe - not help

- reninstall express- not help -

- reinstall map again with new express - not help

- delete top europe - WITHOUT TOPO WHEN ONLY GOLF COURSES ON THE SAME: CANNOT UNLOKC MAP

So it looks like not the topo europe is the problem. I had to reinstall Express again, because after a while it did not open Fenix, it could see it and connected but did not let in.

So after 2 Express reinstall and 2 hours of troubleshooting now i making it from zero waiting for other 2 hours to download and install topo Europe. And it will have the same error message when finished.

It is not fixed, it is just wasting your time "try to turn it on and off again" process. Better to say: dont bother with this message.

After finished Express update , topo europe install. Still have cannot unlock message. And on the watch it says : upgrade available.

Why? What express did? Nothing?

And now upgrading from watch through wifi it takes a lot hours.

I deleted Topo Europe, still had the issue. Then reinstall and update all 3 golf courses and error message disappeared.

Now other problem comes up, installed topo with Express and watch says in map manager there is an update, i wait the 4 hours to download and started again to download.

Topo eruope is working and up to date 2024.10. Dont understand why fenix max manager says there is an update

same problem. updated maps in garmin express. once that finished I downloaded the topoactive europe map from garmin express and installed it. then got the error. I'm working on fixing it, but in the meantime this is really poor engineering. This is a problem that seems to have persisted for probably over a year by now. It feels like the escalation of this issue was put into a backlog (can't blame the devs here).

Since 19.38 beta and a update to 2024.20 maps i get the cant unlock maps message again.

The fix you posted did not help.

On the watch i had a topp active europe map - but express shows me 3 different maps for parts of europe ... i then deleted the "europe" map from watch - no more maps on the watch - but express still shows the three maps of europe as installed ... the unlock error is still present

I wanted to install europe again from the map manager on the watch - but there is no map for europe in the list ... now i have NO map view on my watch ....
