Fenix 7 Start/Stop button stopped working

Hi guys, I have the above mentioned issue when out of a sudden the Start/Stop button after 1 year and 4 months stopped working. It does not matter how hard I press it.

Did you experience the same / similar issue, please ?

I also have a feeling that button is now always pressed as screen is not switching off the backlight unless I manually dim it.

I am definitely contacting store where I have bought the watch to repair / replace it under warranty.

exactly the same experience here, watch well looked after, 1 year and 3 months post purchase failure of the start stop button - few slight signs of non-reliability in the last couple of months then a sudden stop - have contacted the retailer who now want me to deal with Garmin direct

Many people had their buttons stop working, mostly it seems if they used watch for swimming (whch the watch supports but obvioulsy has some design or manufacturng error).

exact same thing here. on my 4th.

and as this one lasted more than 6 months Garmin replaces it with a refurbished one. Also no new warranty on this one. 90 days or whatever is left on the previous one.

I switched to a Garmin Fenix 7S and it’s working a treat. So much more convenient than the larger model and the buttons don’t get jammed.

oh forgot to say they were all 7S . i'd beware with salt water. plenty of reports online by now. but hey maybe you're lucky :)

I've had an F7X for two days and in the first two training sessions it stopped in the middle of the session (autopause is off)... I realized it when looking at the screen..
I have done a reset and today I will try it again.
