Training load adjustment in first weeks of use?

On my Fenix 6, the training load optimal range started at 800. I did not sync the Fenix 6, so the new Fenix 7 started with a blank slate. It was giving training suggestions already on the second day, but I did not follow these exactly. After 6 days the acute load is now "very high" at 600 and training readiness very low. All factors are rated good except HRV status (not yet known).

It is not a problem or criticism, I am just curious what experiences others have with the initial adjustment. Should I have followed the daily workouts exactly? How long does it typically take for the 7 to "get to know" you?

  • Looking at the Training Load Graph, does it look like the Chronic Load (and Optimal Range) are slowly approaching your Acute Training Load? When Chronic Load and Acute Training Load meet, your new watch has adapted to your training.

Thanks for your answer; it is now slowly adjusting upwards. It looks as if it will take another week or so to adapt.
