How can weather widget be so inaccurate?

Dear,

I just bought Fenix 7 couple weeks ago, and now I am on a business trip in Kazakhstan.

And I am very confused about the weather widget, it always shows nonsense.

For example, yesterday we had 31*C and a daily temperature of 23*C to 31*C (see the screenshot), but garmin showed 47*C! and daily 29-39*C (see photos).

Even if the location is not correct (I used both auto and fixed locations), it is complete nonsence, how could it be 47*C when maximum daily is 39?

And today it shows 24*C with daily 28-33*C (see photos), how is it even possible?

Could you please advice how to set the proper behaviour? Right now it is completly useless.

What is your setting for the weather location in Garmin Connect mobile? And often the shown weather is not for your current locartion/position rather for a location miles away (airport etc.). Unfortunately, the name of the weather position is not displayed.

I don´t get the weather for my home location (no matter which gcm setting I choose) for my F7x rather the weather from an airport 60km away. I know that, because my Edge is showing the location name.

Hi Volker,

As I mentioned before, I was trying to use both fixed and phone location.

Right now it set exactly as phone weather app location "Mangystau Province".

The wrong forecast is the second problem.

Main problem is that it shows 47*C when it is written in the same widget "from 29 to 39".

Is it a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Is not broken, that's how it's supposed to be.

This same issue confused me at first when I got my Fenix 7X, so I researched how it works.....

29 is the lowest expected air temperature and 39 is the highest expected air temperature for your area for the day.

The 47 is showing you the "feels like" temperature at that moment.

This "feels like" figure can be lower than the minimum temperature forecast because it takes into account chilly winds (which make it feel cooler than the minimum forecast air temp).

Conversely, on a humid, wind free day it can feel much hotter than the maximum forecast air temp so the feels like figure is higher (as you are seeing today!)

Not the case. Right now I’m seeing 30, feels like 32, 25\18 high low on my fenix. That’s probably why every other third party watch face has open weather implemented.

Thanks for answer, but no, it's not my case.

Check the screenshot from the first post. There is no "feels like" temperature for my location.

It is clearly written "feels like --"

Unbelivable.

All other services show the same results, where does Garmin get its weather?

It was definitely cold in the morning, why is it min 27°C? And how can it be 24°C now? It is midday and it is 29°C. and feels like 29.

I wrote an email to Garmin support, maybe they will answer?

I don't undestand, is it a warranty case? Is it sports watch or not? I want to run if it is 24°C, but I don't want to run if it is 32°C. What temperature from Garmin is right?

Same issue here. So unreliable results. I use an external widget. Called: Widget pro del tiempo from connect IQ (At least in Spanish).

You don't need to pay. It's a nice one. A pity that the original garmin widget works that bad

But how to set WatchFace to use this data?

You need an IQ watchface that supports OWM.

Naturally... This is an obvious solution... But right now I like my watch face, which does not support OWM...
