Pro's automatic backlight in Fenix 7 Solar

Fenix is not going to get the Vivoatice firmware, if it will it will  get the Pro firmware, and that works differently.

Haven't tried it specifixally in 13.22, but I don't see why it wouldn't work?

I'm still runnin 11.28 as they released 13.22 as a 'stable' firmware without fixing rhe battery drain issues.  Typical Garmin.

You wouldn't have to rewrite the OS tho, since the required hardware ro detecr lowlight would be the same in the 7 and 7 Pro? (Solar panel)

The point is Fenix is not getting Vivo firmware it doesn't matter for a Fenix what a Vivo watch does. 

Yea I would really like my backlight to turn on when I'm in the dark (als doing activities in dark environments). "After sunset" does not work for dark rooms. And I have been requesting a function like this for while.

It's not about more or less it's about on or off. I always use 5%,if I don't see a 5% backlight it's bright enough to read the watch without backlight. 

Can't agree more! Automatically turn on the backlight in the darkness is one of the features I most want from the next firmware update! I really hope the Garmin team would listen and fulfill this. I like my Fenix 7, I love MIP except the poor readability in darkness, the auto backlight by solar sensor will be a lot helpful.

And how does that ultimately work?
What else do I have to switch on besides the automatic?

Thought at first that the light turns on in the desired brightness level when the environment is too dark to read the dial.

Have now test switched on the auromatik but it does not work as I thought. Nothing happens at all.

But how ?

Light always on but brighter in brighter conditions.
