How to turn off golf lap announcements?

When using my Fenix 6S Pro for Golf, my phone (thru the connect app) will announce laps every 1.6km (so one mile, presumably). There's no way to turn off lap announcements for a Golf activity on my watch. How do I get my phone to stop announcing laps in my backswing??

Im not sure if it would apply to your device or application , but try this:

Select Device in GC App (or you can do same on watch in my case)

Settings > Audio Prompts> Lap Alert - Switch off.
