I pool swim fairly regularly (twice a week) in a 25m pool. I often get incorrect lengths during swims . This can occur in two modes
1) it counts one 25m length as two lengths with either a lane turn being added mid-length or adding an additional length to the swam one but with no strokes recorded and the time split over the two. This results in the app recording the real and ghost length as having being swam at twice the normal length pace. I wonder if it may be as my stroke rate is around 13~14 per 25m (breaststroke) and the time between arm strokes is occasionally detected as an end of lap turn ?
2) it very occasionally misses the end of length turn and then records the preceding and following length as one slow length. I think this happens if my push off from the lenght turn is a little short and I go straight into a stroke movement with little to no glide?
Anyone else notice these features during Pool Swim recordings?
Also it would be really useful if Garmin gave us the ability to edit the swim after the event to delete ghost length turns or add missing ones at the most appropriate point in the recording. & even though I can adjust the overall lengths swam on the Connect app recorded swim the individual lengths per interval are still incorrect for the erroneous length turns .
