Dear developers, dont you think to bring Ping-Pong to the sports? There are too many sports which rarely used (like padel), but that very common sport doesn’t exist.
I hope you will consider this in the following updates.

Ping-pong has different rules and it's played with different bats than table tennis. Either way, I also agree with the OP!
It's all relative. Where I live, the city is full of padel courts, and it's spreading like crazy, but hardly anyone plays ping-pong.
(I have nothing againts adding ping-pong, though, I play neither.)
Not really the answer you want, but I use the tennis profile to record a table tennis match, then change it to table tennis in the app or web. I'm not sure if the metrics would be much different. Obiously covering more ground in tennis. Also, I am somewhat concerned about wearing my expensive watch while flailing my arms around.
I suggest asking for the table tennis profile to be added to the Fenix 7 series here - Share Ideas | Garmin
The new Fenix 7 "Pro" models have now table tennis as activity, maybe this could be a compromise. It will be available later this year on current Fenix 7 models too.
Beside this: You can copy an activity on your watch, based on another activity (choose one which match most, like cardio or tennis). Then you can rename it to "ping pong" and adjust the data pages as you need for your sport. So you have a new activity on your watch (With name "Ping Pong", based on "Cardio" or whatever). The metrics are taken from the base activity but your don´t need to rename it later on Garmin connect and beside this, you can have other datafields than on the base activity (i hope you understand, my english is not the best ;) ).
Got to your activity list on your watch, then down to the big "plus" + to add a new activity. Here press the first entry "copy activity", choose in this list the base acrtivity which fits best to your wanted activity (cardio works in most cases, maybe tennis works well for you). After choosing the base, you can rename it directly on your watch to "Ping Pong".
I use it for "Rope Jump" and it works well for me.
NOTE: I just tried and when i come to the name for the activity, the garmin app vibrates my phone. I startet garmin connect and i can name the activity here instead of the tiny watch. It is great ;) So start the garmin app to make the name easyer.
