This is one of my main gripes. For a watch that talks about navigation it is cumbersome to use it for actual navigation unless it is pre-planned. I want to be able to get a POI on my phone and send it…
RobCuadro FYI: The Garmin Explore app can do this
Exactly, I also use Explore app, and it's very useful.

Import gpx to Garmin. Then send route to watch.

Thanks for pointing to Garmin Explore. It is not optimal but is the easiest solution for this problem
for me that just works perfect, easiest solution
This amazing app will allow you to share a google maps location to your watch to navigate to in an instant! Just know it uses the watch nav and not the google maps nav.

Can't understand why you can't just Share a location from Google Maps via the Connect app. Just like I do with my Tesla.
Just recently they made it possible to share directly Form Apple maps on iPhone.

So the watches are now obviously capable of that - they just dont implemented it for garmin connect in Android. I dont understand why.
