How to configure / fine-tune notifications on an Iphone?

Not something I've done but have you looked on the iPhone Settings, Notifications for each app?

Thanks, in the Iphone settings I can disable notifications for an individual app, sure. But that means I get no notifications for that app at all - neither on the Iphone, nor on the watch. I would like to receive the notifications on the phone however (for a particular app), but not on my Garmin.

On Android, I can simply select the apps that should send notifications to the phone. Where is that setting on the Iphone I wonder?

Its fairly basic but you will find it under Garmin Devices>Your Device>Notifications & Alerts.

On Android - yes (select the apps you want to have notifications from)

On Iphone - no

On Android, the path is Settings --> Notifications --> App notifications. On Iphone, I dont have this.

And maybe to add: The path you described allows me to on or off system wide applications - but NOT to block individuals apps from sending notifications (like I can on Android).

As I said before, the choice is basic, its basically Call, Texts or Apps ON or OFF

Yes, OK, thanks. So the answer to my question is then: No, on an Iphone I cannot on a per-app basis define, which notifications I want to have to my Fenix. It is either all apps or no apps.

On Android, on the other hand, this is possible.

This is crazy - is there no way to configure it? Like I said, it drives my dad crazy to receive notifications from every single app. And turning app-notifications off completely is also bad, as notifications for the few "important" apps would also not come through.
