So never had this happen before. Seems to be coming from HR sensor. Any ideas?

Mine is solid brown and irregular like skin cancer.
We are sorry to hear about the issue you are reporting. The skin irritation may be a result of build-up on the watch band and/or casing. You should discontinue wearing your watch until your skin has healed. Please review the following FAQ that provides important information regarding the wear and care of your Garmin watch: https://www.garmin.com/watch-fit-and-care/. If you feel that this issue warrants further discussion please reach out to Garmin Product Support via our Garmin Support Center.
I also have the same problem. And it has been repeating. The rash has the form of the sensor points formation. Meantime, I assume it caused by the continuous infrared wave. Although logically it won't. But that's what I observed.

If it were caused by infrared (which this sensor doesn't emit - only visible light), then you'd break out in an immediate rash the moment you stepped next to the window. The sun is emitting infra red radiation right through the UV in the hundreds of watts. The watch is emitting visible light in the range of micro or milli-watts.
Your problem is most likely a bacterial or moisture issue on the sensor (most probably bacterial). The simple fix is just to take the watch into the shower with you each morning or evening and ensure it's clean.
