Hi,
I would like to have the option to count cycling as steps. Somedays I do cycle a bit instead of walk, and would be great to have it count as exercise as well in form of steps.

Yes having the disabled step count optional would be great. If I do 12h river tour I feel I earned the 10k steps movement and also don't have time left to do the walking.
Really?
Are you biking or walking?
A few years ago the complaint was that steps were being recorded while cycling. Garmin has since disabled steps while cycling. So now you want to put it back the way it was?
My suggestion is to have a opt-in setting possibility for those who want it.
Not everyone uses the Garmin with the same target. I do not want that to be the default, as they are different activities.
If you want to count steps during cycling (or swimming), record the activities as walking, running, or any other activity type not blocking the steps counting. Additionally you may need to attach your watch to the ankle instead of the wrist, if you want that it can detect the pedal strokes. Once recorded, change the activity to Cycling in Garmin Connect, the steps will remain preserved.

Exactly, people reports that watch is not counting steps when they do walk with stroller and here wil be the same issue, I suppose.
Yes probably not much to count when cycling except if there is a pattern in the road your driving on.
But I don't get the disabled steps in StandUp Paddling, I'm walking on water just using my whole upper body instead of my legs, paddle strokes get counted, I think this is as good as steps.
My suggestion is for outside any activity. During the day weather I walk or cycle in town, when going shopping, for some event or to go to work. I would like a opt-in option for MoveIQ to get cycling as steps.
