Tactix 7: Sunrise/Sunset Widget number 36 after sunset

The bottom right number changes to a “36” without a degree symbol after the sunset and stays that way until the next sunrise. What does that number mean? During daytime the changing degree number is self explanatory and there is a visible degree symbol.

  • I am out of simple ideas.
It can be a corrupted file, but I won't put my finger in which file or what manipulation you might do with it.
Maybe someone else with more experience can have a look in it.

  • I think, it might be sun hight over the horison in degrees.

  • On mine (Epix) it shows the height of the sun in degrees, but stops at zero degrees after dusk.

  • Mine is ok too in English. It’s says Alt and the degrees below (34, in my case). I always assumed it was the number of degrees up from the horizon that the sun is positioned at. Lower in the winter, higher in the summer, here in the northern latitudes.

  • My watch says High and 0°

  • Exactly the same with me. German language profile. From dusk til dawn a 36 w/o the degree symbol, during the day a number and the degree sign, the azimuth of the sun at the time (the upper left number being the maximum azimuth of the day.

Hard Reset (the one with the light button) won't help. That is a bug. Should clearly be 0 at night but isn't.

  • It stops one step after sunset showing me 0°.

Which is how it should behave. I'm wondering why mine isn't doing that. One more hard reset probably. ;-)

  • On mine Fenix7X works fine, both Polish and English.

Value on middle left shows highest sun possition during day, value on bottom right shows current position, after sunset value should be 0 and it is behaviour I can observe on my watch.

  • So what can we take for granted now?

    1. Language profil is probably not the problem: we have at least two german profiles here. One working, one not.

    2. Timezone is not the distinctive attribute: I presume, TO is in Finland, I'm in Germany, one hour apart - as for the timezone.

    3. The german device wirking is an online device, I'm never online with my Garmin. how about you? Could that be the common attribute?

    4. with devices which work as expected it is 0° after sundown. If it is messed up it is always 36 so far, no ° as unit, no matter what the maximum azimuth is for the day.

    5. A common attribute is for Viluki and me: both are from the Tactix flavour of the Fenix7 family. Adam has a Fenix7, the other german device is a Fenix too, Epix is also among the devices about which we have a thumbs up.

    More insights welcome.

My tactix 7 also awards me with the degreeless "36" before Dawn and after Dusk:

During the day, degrees above the horizon numbers are correct:

Maybe just a tactix 7 bug?

My epix Gen2 displays the correct 0 degrees before Dawn and after Dusk:

And also correct degrees above horizon during the day:

Obviously, the "36" is an attempt on Garmin's part to let us tactix 7 owners know that we are special!

    HTH

Edit to add:  Both watches are running Software Version 11.28.
