Intensity minutes broken across Fenix 7 and Edge 1040

Intensity minutes are now broken again. Recording activity on Edge 1040 does not sync intensity minutes to Fenix 7s, even if explicitly synced and waiting a day for auto sync.

Using Fenix 7s firmware 11.28

Using Edge 1040 firmware 16.11

Yes, I have turned on all TrueUp features, marked the appropriate devices are primary wearable and training devices and so on. Followed the recommendations, Fenix 7s is both.

See photo.

It has happened today again, so last time was not a fluke. Regressions like this are not cool, especially not for top of the line with constant software updates.

  • I am also on a 7X and 840. Intensity minutes are reporting higher on my Edge and won’t contribute to and Garmin Connect Intensity Minutes unless you wear the 7X while riding. Problem is, the watch HR is never as accurate and the watch HR sensor never matches my Edge with HRM dual strap heart rate.

    Stupid system. Just sync everything!

  • Doesn't solve the underlying problem but if your HRM is ANT+ you can use it for both devices at the same time.

  • Intensity minutes seem to be extremely unreliable at the moment. When wearing my Fenix 7SS but not recording (ie doing a Zwift) I get very few/none intensity minutes recorded despite significant effort and high heart rates. Even when double recording through Zwift and my Edge 840 neither activity gives anywhere near the correct amount of minutes. Something is not quite right with it
