I tried using the Garmin Fenix 7 while sport climbing and it works incredibly well. It automatically tracks every route with minimum input from my side, I love it. I tried to use the bouldering profile as well, but I have to say, it's unusable... In order to record bouldering, you need to manually input every single boulder that you do, selecting every single grade. I tried to do it on my last session, but it's incredibly impractical. I looked for an option to disable the grade but you can only do it with climbing, not with bouldering (or so it seems). I'm tempted to create a new activity and rename it "bouldering", but I'm not sure which one would work best... Sport Climbing won't register the height of bouldering, hill walking/hiking/climbing use GPS and are also not sensitive enough to register the height. I'm tempted to just use "gym workout" as a replacement, but that would only register time and heart rate... Is there any other activity that resembles bouldering that can be used to log it?
