Garmin Pay List of Approved Credit Cards Is Inaccurate

Re: PayPal Mastercard NOT APPROVED for use with Garmin Pay

The Garmin Pay website information regarding approved credit cards is inaccurate.

American Express, my preferred credit card, is not approved for use with Garmin Pay. Because I want to use Garmin Pay with my Fenix 7, I researched Garmin Pay's website for approved cards and found PayPal's Mastercard as a good choice. However, once I received my new card - and taking the short-term hit to my credit score, Garmin Pay would not accept the PayPal Mastercard. Garmin Customer Service referred me to PayPal. PayPal referred me to their bank, who referred me back to PayPal. Disappointingly, it seems as if Garmin Pay is not a viable alternative to Samsung Pay. FYI . . .

I think it might be related to card operator, I had similar issue in Poland some time ago.
My Revolut card operated by Mastercard works fine with GarminPay, when I got new one, it was from Visa and I was not able to register it in GarminPay.
It was some issue on Revolut side and it took them a while to resolve it.
Now cards from both operators works fine with GarminPay.

I am pretty certain that the supported card is actually the PayPal DEBIT MasterCard card..... NOT the Synchrony bank issued CREDIT card via PayPal. I'm very disappointed

The issuing bank are the ones who determine whether or not the card can be added to Garmin Pay. Confirm support with your financial institution before dropping any money down on a new watch.
