Alternative brand Garmin

Last months had a lot of issues with my fenix 7 and poor help from the helpdesk. I'm still a huge garmin fan, but I was wondering if you have experience with a better device from other brands?

Issues I (and many others based on the forum topics) had with my fenix 7 ss:

- connection issues mobile

- constantly detecting PR's on my watch ( ie. fastest 1km, longest run etc)

- incorrect race predictions ( did a half marathon in 1:20, prediction is still 1:24)

- incorrect values of lactate threshold in gc (going back to historical values)

- incorrect altitude

- delayed pace on my watch during activity

- no automatic threshold detection

- problems with chest strap

- contacting garmin hd and getting no reply on request and out of a sudden an email link to replace the watch for a refurbished one...???

Connecting issue - maybe it is a phone problem, which phone you use?
New PR - are you accepting new PR in GC when you are notified about it?
Incorrcect race prediction? 4 minutes difference - for me it is about 10 minutes, and I don’t bother, these predictions are based on VO2Max estimation.
Lactate treashols, also have to be approved on watch when was detected, if you don’t do this will show you old values.

I think, you should understand how this equimpment works and read manual.

Thanks Adam. Use a samsung a53. I did accept the new pr, made no difference. Race prediction; it's about the fact I logged a faster time than the prediction and still showing a slower prediction, that's weird in my opinion. LT: i do accept the New value, keeps a couple of days in GC, than gets overwritten by old value.

Do you wear the watch all the time? I suppose that Now with HRV, many computational algorithms have evolved and changed.

OK, regarding PR repeating and prediction have no idea, first works for me without any issues, race prediction is constantly more optimistic than reality.
Regarding connectivity issues, I would say, check in your phone GC configuration, maybe some proces is hibernating it or even closing when GC is in background. It is most common problem on Android phones.

I think, you should use google search or othe brand forums for such information.

Yes I'm thinking about it...

To many bugs these days.. and they offer some features like maps+ to just USA customer's... no BirdsEye for the the world now either, my 5x has more navigational ability than my 7x... that's not right...

I've reverted my software back to 10.44 until at least the saved locations bug is fixed...

@SAM, thanks! Probably I will do the same and put it back to 10.44. As the workout function for interval training running is currently ruined as well....
