Battery Drain 11.28

Same problem after v11.28 update. 

As another point of reference:

No battery saver

Pulse Ox night mode

5 hrs GPS activities on all systems

Always connected to Connect app on IPhone

As far as I have noticed, most battery drain on 11.28 comes from keeping Bluetooth on all the time. I would recommend keeping it off for 1-2 days (and only turn it on to sync data with GC 2-3 times a day) to observe the battery consumption.

That’s BS though. I appreciate disabling certain functions like pulse ox is necessary to extend battery life, but faffing about with basic connectivity shouldn’t be required. 

No BS. The recommendation may help to find the reason for your battery drain - if you really interested in that.

And yes, disabling the connectivity features helps to extend the battery life for days. For example, I don't need any notifications on my watch and this gives me 4 days of extended battery life.

Basically the only way I ( and others )cured it was to disconnect from connect, remove the Bluetooth connection, uninstall connect and reset the watch. Then start from scratch. I did find out later that you can back up your watch settings ion a PC. Most of the stuff is documented in the thread titled 11.28 even worse battery drain. It is a known issue and you shouldn’t have to mess with BT settings. Battery life is back to about 14 days with a few GPS activities.
